Senior Financial Services Administrator required for new permanent job opportunity in Chesterfield. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing and well-established financial services organisation based near Barlborough, Chesterfield. Due to continued expansion and strategic growth plans, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Financial Services Administrator to support the delivery of high-quality client services whilst leading and developing a small administration team.

Reporting directly to the Operational Director, this is a hands-on leadership position that offers genuine career progression within a friendly, professional and supportive environment.

The Role:

As Senior Financial Services Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the administration function whilst overseeing a team of up to four staff. You will be responsible for maintaining exceptional service standards, supporting business operations and helping to develop team performance. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial services professional who is looking to step into a senior position with people management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of up to four Financial Services Administrators
  • Oversee day-to-day administration activities to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Support and mentor team members, conducting regular performance reviews and development discussions
  • Monitor workflows and allocate workloads effectively across the team
  • Provide guidance and support to Paraplanners and wider administration colleagues
  • Ensure all client documentation is processed accurately and within required timescales
  • Liaise with financial advisers, paraplanners and clients to maintain excellent service levels
  • Maintain compliance with FCA regulations and internal procedures
  • Assist with process improvements and contribute to operational efficiencies
  • Produce reports and management information as required
  • Support the Operational Director with departmental objectives and business initiatives

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within a Financial Services Administration role
  • Previous experience within wealth management, IFA, pensions, investments or financial planning environments
  • Experience mentoring, coaching or supervising staff
  • Strong understanding of financial services processes and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a busy environment
  • Proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement
