Your new company is a well-established UK manufacturing business seeking an experienced and proactive Internal Sales Coordinator to support its commercial team and contribute to ongoing business growth. This is a varied, customer-focused role that combines internal sales, account coordination and business development support. Working closely with both customers and the field sales team, you will play a key role in generating opportunities, progressing quotations, coordinating customer activities and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Your new role as an Internal Sales Coordinator will involve:
- Proactively contacting customers to arrange review meetings, product demonstrations and identify new opportunities for the external sales team.
- Coordinating appointments and customer visits on behalf of field-based sales representatives.
- Following up quotations and proposals, obtaining feedback and progressing opportunities through the sales pipeline.
- Coordinating product trial programmes, ensuring customers receive appropriate support throughout the evaluation process.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and commercial partners through regular communication.
- Accurately maintaining customer records, appointments, quotations and pipeline activity within the CRM system.
- Identifying opportunities to generate additional revenue through proactive customer engagement.
- Supporting the coordination of customer implementations, including delivery scheduling, product installation, training and aftercare activities.
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure effective communication and timely customer responses.
- Providing administrative and commercial support to the wider sales function.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous experience within an Internal Sales, Sales Support, Telesales or Account Coordination role.
- Demonstrable experience proactively contacting customers to arrange meetings and follow-up quotations.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate customer records.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- High levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
- A proactive and customer-focused approach.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Understanding of sales processes, quotation management and opportunity tracking.
- Experience supporting field-based sales teams.
- Knowledge of dealer, distributor or partner networks.
