You will be joining a well-established UK manufacturer and provider of high-performance audiovisual (AV) technology, supplying solutions to system integrators, consultants and education institutions nationwide. The business operates within a highly relationship-driven, project-led market and is known for its strong technical capability, excellent customer support and channel-first approach. As the team continues to grow, they are now looking for a motivated Business Development Representative to support further expansion.
As the Business Development Representative, you will play a key role in generating high-quality, qualified meetings across the UK AV integrator and education sectors. You will identify new opportunities, nurture early-stage relationships, and work closely with internal Account Managers to develop pipeline. Your responsibilities will include:
- Prospecting and engaging UK AV system integrators active in commercial and education projects
- Reaching out to education sector stakeholders involved in AV procurement, IT/AV management, estates or digital learning
- Conducting high-quality discovery to understand project requirements and technology interests
- Booking fully qualified meetings aligned with strict pre-qualification criteria
- Supporting Account Managers by identifying opportunities that fit a channel-focused sales model
- Maintaining accurate CRM data and documenting project activity, integrator engagement and upcoming opportunities
- Contributing to quarterly analysis of meeting conversion and pipeline progression
You will be a proactive, relationship-driven individual with a strong interest in sales and the AV or technology sector. You’ll have:
- Experience in lead generation, appointment setting or early-stage sales (BDR/SDR experience ideal)
- Confidence in speaking with technical and commercial stakeholders
- Strong research and discovery skills to understand project needs and potential opportunities
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
- Good organisation and CRM discipline
- A motivated and resilient approach, especially within a project-based, technical sales environment
Experience within the AV industry, IT, or selling into education would be highly beneficial but is not essential.
