Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional with a proven track record of leading teams, driving process improvements, and delivering an efficient procure-to-pay function? We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join a well-established organisation as an Interim Accounts Payable Manager, leading a team and taking ownership of the end-to-end accounts payable process. This is a highly visible role where you'll work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time, while identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls, and efficiencies across the function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of Accounts Payable professionals
- Oversee the end-to-end purchase ledger process
- Manage supplier payments, expenses, foreign currency payments and ad-hoc payment runs
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies and procedures
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the procure-to-pay function
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts
- Produce management reporting and KPI analysis
- Support finance projects and system enhancements
- Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
About You
- Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent)
- Significant experience managing an Accounts Payable function
- Proven people management and coaching experience
- Strong understanding of procure-to-pay processes and financial controls
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
- Experience improving processes and implementing change
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
