Your new role

Lead and support the Key Account Executive and Internal Sales teams, ensuring enquiries are reviewed, qualified, prioritised and quoted accurately.

Support the Sales Manager in managing daily sales activity, team priorities, workload and follow-up discipline.

Oversee preparation of quotations in line with agreed commercial procedures, ready for the review and sign off from the Sales and Business Development Manager.

Ensure all sales function/office policies and procedures continue to reflect current practice.

Monitor and maintain adherence to sales office policies and procedures.

Drive enquiry progression, quote conversion and pipeline discipline through regular review of open enquiries and quotations.

Act as a key interface between sales, estimating, drawing office, projects, production, fulfilment and senior management.

Maintain accurate estimating, enquiry, quotation and order data within ERP/SAP systems.

Monitor sales and estimating KPIs, including quotation turnaround, conversion, pipeline movement and forecast accuracy.

Provide coaching, guidance and practical support to team members on customer handling, commercial judgement and process discipline.

Escalate blockers early and support cross-functional resolution where customer outcomes, quotation timing or delivery commitments are at risk.

Reviewing incentive applications from the sales team, to ensure all sales meet the required criteria, prior to payment.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience within engineering, manufacturing or industrial environments.

Experience leading, supervising or supporting a team and managing competing priorities.

Experience using enquiry, quotation, pipeline or order data to manage workload and improve performance.

Confident dealing with customers, internal stakeholders and cross-functional escalations.

  • Competent in ERP/SAP systems and Microsoft Office applications
