Responsible for the issuing of production plans on a day-to-day basis for the PET production lines. This is both internal and external. Review, analyse and adapt customer forecasts to the businesses production plan. Support the Demand Lead in the strategic review of the production requirements, identifying potential challenges.
- Review of short term customer forecasting.
- Attend and support in weekly customer meetings from a planning perspective.
- Attend daily production meetings, liaising with key stakeholders from across internal business areas.
- Lead weekly production meetings, liaising with key stakeholders from across internal business areas.
- Review, communicate and report on production plan movements, across all relevant stakeholders.
- Review feasibility and communicate any movements within the firm period with both customers and internal departments.
- Work with the Demand Lead to support both customer and business requirements.
- Build good work relationships with customers and other cross-functional team members.
- Ensure accurate parameters are reflected in SAP and regularly reviewed to achieve optimum materials inventory holding within the network.
- Ensure production plans are accurate and aligned with production parameters for the following 12 weeks, inclusive of operating hours, quality parameters and engineering requirements.
- Proactively identify slow-moving and obsolete SKU risks, report and follow up by closely working with other functional teams.
- Review existing processes and work closely with the procurement team to improve accuracy and efficiencies, where possible.
- Ensure production requirements are within agreed min/max levels to best service both the customer and logistics.
- Take ownership of the Aldi PET stock levels and forecasting, regularly updating the other members of the planning team and customer accounts.
- React to issues on a daily basis created both internally and from customers.
- Provide demand planning support for colleagues when required.
- This role will be office-based. However, the need to occasionally take a call out of hours or on a weekend to make decisions may be required.
- Work with the demand planner to drive continuous improvement of the planning function, inclusive of system knowledge and utilisation to protect our production.
