We are looking for a reliable and proactive Stores Assistant for an organisation in Wandsworth. This is an ongoing temporary role that plays a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of stores and warehouse functions. If you enjoy a hands-on job, staying organised, and supporting a busy operation, this could be a great fit. This role is 100% based on site working 36 hours a week (Mon to Fri, 7.30am-3.45pm, with 1 hr for lunch). No parking is available on site. A laptop will be provided as part of this role.

Key duties include:

  • Operating counterbalance forklift
  • Tidying the yard
  • Providing excellent customer service at the trade counter and serving customers (electricians / plumbers etc)
  • Handling deliveries and receipts
  • Processing PO's and updating the system with accurate information
  • Liaising with suppliers and dealing with any stock issues

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • You will hold a valid forklift licence and bring previous experience in a similar role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • You should also have solid IT proficiency, including experience with MS Office and the ability to input and process information accurately on computer systems.
  • This role is based in Wandsworth, where there is no onsite parking. The successful candidate must be able to commute to the site five days a week using public transport.

What you’ll get in return:

You’ll receive an hourly rate of £16.50/hr Umbrella, working 36 hours a week. This is a long term, ongoing position with the possibility of a permanent role further down the line.
