Your new company The Receptionist will provide a professional, welcoming, and efficient front-of-house service, acting as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, suppliers, and telephone enquiries. The successful candidate will support the smooth day-to-day running of the office through excellent customer service and administrative support. Your new role Reception Duties Greet visitors and clients in a professional and friendly manner. Manage the reception area, ensuring it remains clean, tidy, and welcoming. Answer, screen, and transfer incoming telephone calls promptly and accurately. Take and relay messages as required. Manage visitor sign-in procedures and issue visitor passes where necessary.Administrative Support Handle incoming and outgoing post, deliveries, and courier services. Assist with printing, scanning, photocopying, and filing documents. Maintain accurate records and data entry systems. Support meeting room bookings and prepare rooms when required. Provide general administrative assistance to the wider team.Office Support Monitor and order office supplies as required. Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and service providers. Report maintenance issues and ensure they are dealt with appropriately. Support office health and safety procedures.Customer Service Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Respond professionally to enquiries and direct them to the appropriate department or individual. Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. What you'll need to succeed Essential Criteria Previous experience in a receptionist, administration, or customer service role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional and courteous telephone manner. Strong organisational and time management skills. Good attention to detail and accuracy. Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively. Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.Desirable Criteria Previous experience in a busy office environment. Experience using telephone systems and visitor management processes.
