You will be working within the Welsh Government's historic environment service, working for an accessible and well-protected historic environment for Wales.

You will be working as a Custodian on a part-time, rota basis for approximately 3 months. You will be required to greet and service visitors, take admissions and assist in the on-site shop selling souvenirs. Responsibilities will include cash handling and balancing a float. You will also be responsible for checking the site each morning to ensure it is ready to accept visitors.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Excellent customer service skills are required for this role as you will be dealing with customers at all times.
  • The ability to communicate in the medium of Welsh.
  • Experience of operating a till is desirable.
  • Experience of working within a customer service, hospitality or retail-based role is essential.
  • You must be flexible around working hours as you may be asked to work additional hours and will also be required to work some weekends or bank holidays.
