We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and innovative provider of commercial office fit-out solutions. The company, based in Rugeley, Staffordshire, is known for delivering high-quality environments through advanced HVAC systems. As a Mechanical Technical Design Manager (Building Services), you will be responsible for managing the design process from the tender stage through to construction-ready documentation. This pivotal role involves leading a team of designers, liaising with clients and consultants, and ensuring that all mechanical services designs meet required specifications and industry standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the design of mechanical services projects from concept to construction.
- Managing and prioritising the internal design team's workload.
- Providing technical guidance to clients and project stakeholders.
- Conducting site surveys and preparing detailed technical reports.
- Identifying and implementing value engineering opportunities.
- Ensuring compliance with specifications, Employer's Requirements (ERs), and regulations.
- Collaborating with estimating and delivery teams to ensure project alignment.

- A strong technical background in mechanical building services, plumbing, and air conditioning.
- Proven experience in technical design management or senior design roles.
- Experience in office and/or retail fit-out projects.
