Your new company
You will be working for a registered social housing landlord providing safe, affordable homes to people at every stage of life. They own and manage more than 29,000 properties across the North, offering homes for social rent, affordable rent, shared ownership, outright sale, and private rent. You will be based in the environmental team at the depot in RUNCORN.
Your new role
Your responsibilities will include all aspects of Grounds Maintenance works, such as:
- Grass Cutting: Using powered mowers and strimmers to maintain lawns and grassy areas.
- Hedge and Shrub Maintenance: Trimming hedges and shrubs with powered hedge cutters, pruning plants as needed.
- Weeding and Spraying: Removing weeds and applying herbicides to hard surfaces and kerb edges.
- Litter Collection: Picking up litter and ensuring communal areas are clean and tidy.
- Tree Maintenance: Basic tree care, such as removing damaged or broken branches.
- Seasonal Planting: Planting and maintaining seasonal bedding and shrubs.
- Pathway Maintenance: Clearing and sweeping pathways to keep them free of debris.
- Customer Interaction: Addressing customer enquiries and complaints promptly and effectively.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Following all health and safety regulations, including the use of PPE and safe operation of machinery.
What you\’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience as a Grounds Maintenance Operative (minimum 2 years).
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
- Good grounds maintenance knowledge.
- Full PPE.
- Previous references.
