Your new company is a social housing provider who own and manage over 20,000 properties across the North West.
Investment Planning
In collaboration with Asset Investment team, develop a detailed annual and 5 year investment programme for all properties at a regional level to ensure investment plans tackle property condition priorities, emerging repair trends, and colleague and customer expectations.
Investment Programme delivery
Develop and be responsible for the delivery of the annual Capital and Revenue investment programme to all regions, communicating regular progress and highlighting adverse exceptions against programme to senior leadership, peers and wider programme stakeholders.
Contract and Performance Management
Ensure robust contract, contractor and performance management controls are in place and followed across all investment programme delivery activities. Provide regular progress reporting against contract KPIs, as well as wider programme risk, performance and value.
Budget Management
Prepare annual budget requirements for the investment programme. Manage and routinely report on spend and forecast against annual budget, monitoring and benchmarking the value for money delivered, anticipating and reporting on areas of potential financial risk.
Health & Safety
Ensure all investment programme activities are in strict adherence to health and safety procedures and wider construction-related legislation, including CDM and Building Safety Act.
Procurement
Collaborating with Procurement, develop, maintain and lead a 5 year forward procurement plan for all construction and consultancy requirements of the investment programme activities, achieving value for money and excellence in design, specification, social value, and customer care across all contracts.
Leadership and Service Improvement
Ensure effective use of resources to deliver the capital programme to agreed performance targets, leading, inspiring, and motivating colleagues to deliver a high quality service to customers.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Track record of investment planning and delivering investment programmes
- Strong programme and project management skills
- Excellent commercial acumen and budget management skills, with experience of working to tight financial parameters and timescales
- Self-motivated, organised and ability to work autonomously
- Experience of leading a team to a high level of performance
- Demonstrable knowledge of building construction, construction contracts and housing legislation
