Our client is a well-established, expanding accountancy practice with offices across Central and Southern England. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an ambitious Audit Senior or Audit Assistant Manager to join their Winchester team.

The Role
You will take a lead role on a wide range of audits, managing fieldwork, supporting junior staff and contributing to high-quality client outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a variety of audit assignments across multiple sectors
- Preparing audit files, taking ownership of planning and supporting fieldwork
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members, reviewing their work and providing on-the-job training
- Ensuring audits are completed on time, within budget and to a high standard
- Preparing statutory accounts under UK GAAP
- Preparing corporation tax computations
- Maintaining strong technical knowledge and keeping up to date with industry developments
- Supporting with pricing discussions and new client proposals
- Building positive relationships internally and with clients
- Using a range of modern software including IRIS, Silverfin, CaseWare, Xero and Sage
About You
You will be confident managing audit work from planning through to completion, and comfortable liaising with clients and colleagues at all levels. You will need to be:
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Experienced within UK audit practice (minimum 3 years)
- Knowledgeable in UK GAAP financial reporting
- A strong communicator with excellent client-facing skills
- Able to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, professional, organised and adaptable
- A supportive team player with a can-do attitude
- Strong with Excel and quick to pick up new systems
- Experience from a mid-tier or reputable medium-sized practice is particularly welcomed
