With a strong presence in both the UK and international markets, this firm is dedicated to providing top-tier legal services and fostering a supportive work environment.
Your new role involves overseeing the entire payroll process for their UK and international offices. You will ensure the accuracy and compliance of payroll processes, timely and precise monthly payroll processing, payroll analysis, system management, and issue resolution. You will work autonomously while collaborating closely with the Human Resources and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking full ownership of end-to-end monthly payroll processing across UK and international offices.
- Managing relationships with third-party payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll inputs.
- Aligning local payroll calendars and deadlines with stakeholders and payroll providers.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, local Office Managers) to gather and collate payroll-related data.
- Ensuring accurate and timely submission of monthly payroll data in compliance with established deadlines and formats.
- Conducting monthly reconciliation, validation, and approval of payroll outputs in line with statutory legislation and company policies.
- Reviewing, approving, and uploading monthly payroll sign-offs via third-party portals.
- Reconciling monthly journal entries and postings to the Finance system.
- Keeping up-to-date with payroll legislation and managing payroll-related administration and records.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- A Payroll Specialist Certificate or CIPP membership.
- Experience with payroll processes supported by third-party providers, including international exposure.
- A thorough understanding of employee payroll and benefit programs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with MS products.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
- Discretion and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Willingness to travel to other UK offices as needed.
