In your new role as Finance Assistant, you will play a key part in supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function. This is a hands-on position within a busy and fast-paced environment, offering exposure to a broad range of finance activities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Supporting bank reconciliations and cash allocation
- Assisting with month-end processes
- Managing supplier invoices and resolving queries
- Supporting credit control activities, including chasing outstanding payments
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Assisting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties
This is a full-time, office-based role (Monday-Friday, 9:00-17:00) and offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent position.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally:
- Be AAT qualified or part-qualified
- Have prior experience within a Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant role
- Have a good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
- Be comfortable working within a high-volume, transactional environment
- Have strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Be confident using finance systems and Excel
- Be able to work on-site in Taunton 5 days per week
