I'm currently recruiting for a Finance Graduate opportunity, based in Swansea. This role reports directly to the Management Accountant and plays a key part in supporting the financial management and operational performance of the site. It offers excellent exposure across plant finance, giving you the opportunity to get involved in both day-to-day reporting and wider business improvement initiatives.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Supporting daily financial reporting and plant controlling activities, including operational metrics such as productivity, cost, and absorption analysis
- Assisting with inventory and costing processes, including maintaining records and supporting reserve calculations
- Contributing to month-end close, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring accuracy and alignment with operational plans
- Carrying out margin and variance analysis to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Working closely with operations and sales teams to support production forecasting and cost analysis
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to provide financial insight and support performance improvements
- Getting involved in process improvement initiatives and project work as you develop in the role
This position would suit a finance graduate who is analytical, organised, and keen to build a career in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A degree in Finance (or similar) is required, along with a willingness to study towards CIMA or ACCA - with a full study support package provided.
