Your new company is a leader in their field based in Stoke-on-Trent and is looking for a qualified or part-qualified Management Accountant/ Finance Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role includes:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary for senior leadership.
- Assist with the production and review of financial results across multiple business units.
- Deliver regular profitability, revenue and cost analysis to support decision-making.
- Produce monthly reporting packs, dashboards and key performance indicators.
- Support the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts.
- Lead the year-end audit process and act as the primary contact for external auditors.
- Coordinate information required for corporate tax compliance and liaise with external advisors where required.
- Prepare regular cash flow forecasts and working capital reports.
- Monitor debtor performance and provide analysis on outstanding balances.
- Produce accurate and timely financial reports for senior stakeholders.
- Manage month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Oversee banking activities, cash management and treasury processes.
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations and recharges.
- Support international transactions and foreign currency activities where required.
- Complete bank reconciliations and maintain financial records.
- Prepare indirect tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and related reporting.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support for business projects.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Fully qualified ACCA/ CIMA or part-qualified and working towards.
- Previous experience in a management accounting / financial analysis role.
- Experience of Sage 200 would be advantageous.
- Experience of managing or mentoring staff would be advantageous.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- SQL experience advantageous.
- Self-motivation and a positive outlook.
- Ability to work effectively to deadlines.
What you'll get in return:
- £45-50,000 DOE.
- On-site work 8-4 or 9-5 Monday to Friday.
- 26 days annual leave + BH Christmas shutdown.
