Your new company is a well-established and growing business seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the finance team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end credit control process across two company ledgers, maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. Your new role:
- Managing the full credit control function for two company ledgers
- Monitoring and maintaining approximately 150 customer accounts
- Chasing outstanding payments via phone, email and written correspondence
- Building strong working relationships with customers to ensure prompt payment
- Allocating incoming cash and reconciling customer accounts
- Resolving invoice and payment queries in a timely manner
- Producing aged debt reports and monitoring debtor performance
- Reviewing customer credit limits and assessing risk where required
- Working closely with internal departments to resolve account issues
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all customer information is up to date
- Supporting month-end processes and reporting requirements
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous experience within a credit control position
- Confident managing accounts and collections independently
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and work autonomously
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- Experience using accounting systems, ideally Sage 200
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite
