We are a well‑established manufacturing company based near Isle of Dogs station, supplying high‑quality products to customers across the UK. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Part‑Time Bookkeeper (2 days per week) to support the financial operations of the business and work closely with the Managing Director.
This is a hands‑on position ideal for a proactive bookkeeper who is comfortable managing day‑to‑day financial activities and providing clear financial information to senior management. You will work directly with and report to the Managing Director, playing a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records
- Purchase ledger and sales ledger processing
- Supplier invoice processing and payment runs
- Customer invoicing and credit control
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing and submitting UK VAT returns
- Assisting with month‑end accounts
- Proven experience in a Bookkeeper or similar role
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting and VAT
- Experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar)
- Good Excel skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and communicate confidently with senior management
- Part‑time role: 2 days per week
