Your new role involves reporting directly to the Finance Director, taking ownership of the organisation's financial performance and leading the finance and administration function. Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets, cash flow reporting, and year-end financial statements.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators and analysing departmental profitability.
  • Providing insightful financial reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Partnering with operational teams to enhance business performance.
  • Managing working capital and overseeing compliance and financial controls.
  • Liaising with external auditors and financial institutions.
  • Supporting regulatory requirements within the business.

As a member of the senior management team, you will play a key role in influencing strategic decisions and ensuring the business continues to achieve its commercial objectives.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA part-qualified (or possess equivalent relevant experience).
  • Proven experience within a management accounting or finance leadership role.
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
  • Experience leading and developing finance and administrative teams.
  • Excellent Excel and wider IT systems knowledge.
  • The ability to produce accurate financial reporting and meaningful business insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience within a multi-site or customer-focused business would be advantageous, as would knowledge of regulated finance products and associated compliance requirements.
