Your new role involves reporting directly to the Finance Director, taking ownership of the organisation's financial performance and leading the finance and administration function. Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets, cash flow reporting, and year-end financial statements.
- Monitoring key performance indicators and analysing departmental profitability.
- Providing insightful financial reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Partnering with operational teams to enhance business performance.
- Managing working capital and overseeing compliance and financial controls.
- Liaising with external auditors and financial institutions.
- Supporting regulatory requirements within the business.
As a member of the senior management team, you will play a key role in influencing strategic decisions and ensuring the business continues to achieve its commercial objectives.
What you'll need to succeed:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA part-qualified (or possess equivalent relevant experience).
- Proven experience within a management accounting or finance leadership role.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
- Experience leading and developing finance and administrative teams.
- Excellent Excel and wider IT systems knowledge.
- The ability to produce accurate financial reporting and meaningful business insights.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
- Experience working within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Experience within a multi-site or customer-focused business would be advantageous, as would knowledge of regulated finance products and associated compliance requirements.
