This people-orientated organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll specialist to join their busy bureau. This role is ideal for a confident payroll professional who can process payroll end to end and quickly embed themselves into a fast-paced environment ensuring accurate, compliant payroll processing.
Within your new role, you will be expected to provide a high level of service to external clients whilst also maintaining the day-to-day, process end to end payroll cycles:
- Process weekly, fortnightly, lunar and monthly payrolls, ensuring accuracy and adherence to client deadlines.
- Handle statutory payments calculations/adjustments including SSP, SMP, SPP, etc.
- Complex payments with a high volume payslip count.
- Be a team player and work well collaboratively.
- Liaise with external clients to support with any payroll queries.
- Calculate and process adjustments, holiday pay, bonuses, overtime, and salary changes.
- Ensure correct treatment of starters, leavers, P45/P46 starter checklists, and RTI submissions.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Proven experience in a UK payroll bureau position/Shared service high volume.
- Experience with managing and coaching a team and support with their learning and development.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and friendly phone manner.
