Your new company is a well-established and values-led organisation within the education sector based in Nottingham looking for a temporary finance professional to join their team on a 6-month basis. Your new role involves supporting the day-to-day financial operations. Responsibilities will include:
- Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Supporting routine reporting activities
- Assisting with payroll processes
- Supporting month-end duties
- Ensuring all financial data is accurate and up to date
- Helping ensure compliance with financial procedures
- Assisting with audit preparation
- Responding to financial queries from internal and external stakeholders
- Providing general administrative support across finance activities
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous experience in a finance role, including exposure to purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Experience in payroll and assisting with month-end processes is highly desirable
- Good working knowledge of financial systems and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks to deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
- A finance-related qualification (e.g. AAT) is advantageous
