An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join a well-established organisation based in Manchester City Centre. Joining the Contract-to-Pay (C2P) team, you will play a key role in supporting the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring supplier payments are processed accurately and efficiently.
This position is being offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis and would suit a candidate who is available immediately and looking for a long-term opportunity within a collaborative finance environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Match, batch and code invoices in line with company procedures.
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate outstanding balances.
- Resolve supplier queries and invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support weekly and monthly payment runs.
- Maintain supplier account records and ensure master data is kept up to date.
- Process employee expenses and company credit card transactions.
- Work closely with Procurement and internal departments to resolve purchasing and invoice-related issues.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and accruals.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives across the Contract-to-Pay function.
- Previous experience within Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or a similar finance role.
- Experience working within a Contract-to-Pay (C2P) or Shared Service environment is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet deadlines.
- Competent user of Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
- Immediately available or able to start at short notice.
