We are recruiting for a Human Resources Officer to join a busy and supportive college team in Leicester. This is a full-time, all year-round position, starting ASAP, with maternity cover commencing from the end of November 2026 for up to 12 months or upon the return of the postholder. YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE: * Managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes. * Supporting the full employee lifecycle for a designated staff group. * Managing staff absence processes and maintaining HR records. * Producing HR correspondence and contractual documentation. * Providing HR advice and support to staff and managers. * Supporting employee relations casework and investigations. * Assisting with HR reporting, compliance, policies, and wellbeing initiatives. * Deputising for the HR Manager when required. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: * Previous HR experience is essential. * Level 5 CIPD is desirable but not essential. * Strong knowledge of HR processes and employment practices. * Excellent organisational and communication skills. * Ability to manage a varied workload and maintain confidentiality. * Experience within education or a similar environment is advantageous.
