Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to help drive success and maintain exceptional client service.
Your New Role:
As an Audit Manager, you will take ownership of a diverse and high-value client portfolio and lead audit engagements from planning through to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of clients with fees totalling approximately £500,000
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients and partners, ensuring deadlines and queries are managed effectively
- Leading large and complex audits, offering practical solutions to partners
- Identifying and managing firm-wide risks, including reputational and credit risks
- Collating data for inspections, technical reviews, and audit-related enquiries
- Monitoring timesheet entries for accuracy and appropriate coding
- Ensuring audit teams stay within budget and time allocations
- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients on all audit matters
- Responding promptly to client queries and maintaining high service standards
- Supporting business development through proposals, presentations, and networking
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
- Proven experience managing audit teams and client portfolios
- Strong knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards
- Ability to implement audit methodologies and communicate technical concepts clearly
- Experience with both substantive and controls-based audits, group reporting, and cross-border engagements
- Familiarity with accounting frameworks such as UK GAAP and FRS
