A supportive, well-established accountancy practice with a specialist reputation and a genuinely warm team culture. The firm has recently moved into bright, modern offices and continues to grow steadily. You will be joining a friendly environment where people stay long term and feel valued.
As Bookkeeper, you will work closely with a range of clients - mainly sole traders, with some exposure to partnerships and limited companies. Your role will include:
- Processing invoices, payments, income and receipts in Xero
- Completing VAT returns
- Identifying inconsistencies to support accurate year-end reconciliation
- Supporting Client Managers with occasional year-end preparation
- Providing a personable, professional service as a client-facing member of the team
This is a great role if you enjoy steady, structured bookkeeping work in a calm, well-run practice.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Strong bookkeeping experience (sole trader experience essential)
- Knowledge of Xero preferred (training provided)
- Sage experience helpful but not essential
- A friendly, professional manner and confidence dealing with clients
- Able to commute to East Grinstead
