Your new company Hays are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Assistant and Accounts Receivable Assistants on behalf of a large public sector organisation based in Exeter.

Your new role As part of the Payments team, you will support either the Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable function.
Responsibilities may include: Processing invoices, payments and financial information Maintaining accurate records and data Handling supplier or customer queries via phone and email Supporting the wider finance team with administrative tasks Ensuring information is entered accurately onto internal systems Assisting with payment processing and financial documentation These roles are primarily administration-focused rather than heavily finance-based, making them ideal for candidates with strong organisational and customer service skills.
