Your new company is a well-established and growing construction contractor operating across London and the Home Counties. The business specialises in technically complex refurbishment and façade remediation schemes and main contractor projects across commercial, residential, healthcare and education projects, delivering high-quality projects for a diverse client base. With a strong pipeline of secured work, particularly within cladding and façade packages, the company is continuing to expand its commercial team to support multiple live projects in the region.

Your new role involves taking responsibility for the commercial management of multiple live projects, typically ranging from £1m - £3m façade remediation schemes. Working closely with the wider commercial and operational teams, you will ensure projects are delivered profitably while maintaining strong client and supply chain relationships.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the full commercial life cycle from procurement through to final account
  • Leading procurement of cladding and façade packages, including subcontractor selection and negotiation
  • Monitoring financial performance through CVR reporting, cost tracking, and forecasting
  • Managing subcontractor accounts, payments, and contractual obligations
  • Assessing, pricing, and agreeing variations with clients and subcontractors
  • Managing project cash flow and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
  • Leading 1/2 Quantity Surveyors

This role is initially office-based in Waterloo, with regular site visits across London and surrounding areas.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • At least 7 years' proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior QS within a main contractor (facade/cladding remediation) environment
  • Demonstrable experience in cladding and façade procurement and delivery (essential)
  • Experience managing multiple projects (circa 5-6 projects) - ideally £1m-£3m range
  • Strong knowledge of CVR reporting, cost control, subcontract procurement, and variations
  • Experience working on refurbishment or remediation schemes
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
