We are a well-established manufacturing company based near Isle of Dogs station, supplying high-quality products to customers across the UK. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper (2 days per week) to support the financial operations of the business and work closely with the Managing Director.
This is a hands-on position ideal for a proactive bookkeeper who is comfortable managing day-to-day financial activities and providing clear financial information to senior management. You will work directly with and report to the Managing Director, playing a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records
- Purchase ledger and sales ledger processing
- Supplier invoice processing and payment runs
- Customer invoicing and credit control
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing and submitting UK VAT returns
- Assisting with month-end accounts
What you’ll need to succeed
- Proven experience in a Bookkeeper or similar role
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting and VAT
- Experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar)
- Good Excel skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and communicate confidently with senior management
