You will be joining a well-established London-based law firm who are seeking a Temporary Finance Assistant to support their busy finance team. This is an initial 3-month fixed-term contract, offering £30,000-£35,000 and the flexibility of being fully remote. The firm operates in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and requires someone with proven experience within legal finance.

As the Temporary Finance Assistant, you will support the team across Accounts Payable, Cash Receipting and Bank Reconciliations. Your responsibilities will include processing and reconciling AP transactions, validating vendor invoices and maintaining AP schedules. You will handle daily cash receipts, including client payments, electronic transfers and credit card transactions, while working closely with Credit Control to resolve unidentified funds. You will also complete daily bank reconciliations across both office and client accounts, monitoring outstanding items and resolving variances promptly. Month-end support will form part of the role.

To be successful, you must have previous experience working in a law firm finance department and be fully proficient in Elite 3E, which is an essential requirement. You will have strong knowledge of legal finance processes, excellent accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Advanced Excel skills, strong communication abilities and a collaborative, professional approach are also key.

You will receive a competitive salary of £30,000-£35,000, a fully remote working arrangement, and the opportunity to join a respected law firm where you can contribute immediately to the finance function.
