This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys getting involved across finance and wants to make a visible impact within the wider business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the effective operation of the purchase ledger, including supplier maintenance and payments.
  • Improve reporting to provide greater visibility of expenditure and cash flow.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register.
  • Support the Finance Director with annual audit preparation.
  • Produce and submit statutory and regulatory returns, including VAT and packaging waste.
  • Support UK GAAP compliance and Group IFRS reporting requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, processes and controls.
  • Provide support and cover for transactional finance activities when required.

What you'll need to succeed:

You will be a confident and analytical finance professional who can communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Ideally, you will have:

  • CIMA or ACCA qualification, or be actively studying towards one.
  • Strong management accounting and month-end experience.
  • Excellent financial, technical and analytical skills.
  • Commercial awareness and the confidence to partner with a Sales team.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • The ability to work accurately and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Manufacturing, purchase ledger or product-based business experience.
  • Previous SAP exposure would be beneficial, although it is not essential.
