An experienced Payroll Specialist is required to join a well-established organisation on an urgent 3-month contract to take ownership of the payroll function and resolve several key payroll priorities, including outstanding P11D submissions.
Location: Bournemouth/Flexible Hybrid Working
Duration: 3 Months Temporary Contract
Start Date: Immediate
Your new role:
- Manage the monthly payroll for approximately 400+ employees across multiple sites
- Process all payroll changes, including new starters, leavers, salary amendments and contractual variations
- Administer holiday pay and other statutory payments
- Manage auto-enrolment and pension scheme administration
- Liaise with HMRC and ensure payroll compliance
- Resolve employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner
- Process employee expenses
- Prepare payroll reports and management information
- Complete payroll reconciliations and journals
- Ensure outstanding P11Ds are completed and submitted
- Identify and address any payroll issues, ensuring an accurate and efficient payroll function
What you'll need to succeed:
- Proven end-to-end payroll experience
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
- Experience with pensions, auto-enrolment and statutory payments
- Previous P11D experience is essential
- Able to work independently and quickly assess priorities
- Available to start immediately or at short notice
