Hays are partnering with a local council to recruit two Project Support Officers with a strong finance background to support key initiatives within the Transport Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-impact programme, supporting financial processes and system transformation across the directorate.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting financial operations and helping transition existing processes into a new financial system. The focus will be on strengthening data integrity, financial processes, and supporting informed decision-making through robust analysis. This role requires a strong understanding of financial transaction processes, coupled with the ability to work with and improve systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support monthly invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Conduct data validation checks and ensure financial data integrity
- Analyse financial data and trends to support reporting and decision-making
- Assist with financial modelling and forecasting activities
- Support the transition and implementation of new financial systems
- Work closely with stakeholders across finance and programme teams
