You will play a key part in the finance team, supporting daily operations and contributing to accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and reports
- Ensuring all financial practices align with accounting standards and company policies
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Providing payroll support
- Managing intercompany transactions
- Supporting year-end audit processes
- Payroll consolidation tasks
Desired Experience:
- Handling purchase ledger activities
- Fixed asset accounting
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
- Conducting variance analysis to highlight trends and identify potential issues
- Working collaboratively with other departments to support business decisions
Additional Requirements:
- Carrying out ad hoc duties as required by senior management and directors
- Experience with Sage (1000) is advantageous.
Skills & Qualifications:
- AAT Level 4 qualification (minimum requirement)
- Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and procedures
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, or Xero
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Advanced Excel abilities for data analysis and reporting
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week
