\n An established and growing business in the West Bromwich is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join its finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Due to continued growth, the credit control function is expanding, with plans to increase the team from two to four people is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Credit Controller who enjoys building relationships, resolving customer queries and driving cash collection performance within a busy, fast-paced environment.

Your new role
- \n
- Managing a portfolio of customer accounts and taking ownership of the credit control process \n
- Proactively chasing outstanding debt via telephone, email, and written correspondence \n
- Monitoring aged debt and ensuring collection targets and KPIs are achieved \n
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships \n
- Investigating and resolving account queries in collaboration with internal departments \n
- Logging and tracking customer disputes and payment issues \n
- Producing customer credit reviews for assessment \n
- Maintaining accurate customer records and account information \n
- Supporting continuous improvements within credit control processes and systems \n
- Handling a high volume of accounts and customer interactions across a large customer base \n
What you'll need to succeed

- Previous experience within a Credit Control position \n
- A proven track record of collecting outstanding debt and reducing aged debt \n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills \n
- Confidence handling customer conversations over the phone \n
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities \n
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy \n
- A proactive, resilient, and self-motivated approach \n
- Good Excel skills \n
- Experience using ERP or finance systems would be advantageous \n
