Job Description
Hays Senior Finance has been appointed by a US-owned manufacturing group to recruit a qualified Management Accountant for their UK business. This global business is over 50 years old and market leaders in their field. The business continues to innovate and pivot into new markets, which has kept them as industry leaders. Forward sales and long-term contracts provide a stable platform for growth and further investment in the UK. Due to ongoing growth and an internal promotion, the business is looking to appoint a Management Accountant - either Finalist or Qualified.
Job Duties -
- Preparation of monthly financial reports to Internal and Group deadlines in conjunction with Financial Controller
- Responsible for management of Accounts Payable Specialist
- Support Annual Plan and Forecast processes to Internal and Group deadlines
- Preparation of monthly balance reconciliations (stock, debtors, creditors, bank, prepayments, accruals, assets)
- Identify, drive and support ad-hoc initiatives and projects
- Preparation and submission of monthly VAT & Intrastat returns to HMRC
- Payment of quarterly corporation tax to HMRC
- Co-ordinate Supplier Payments between Head of Finance / Financial Controller and Accounts Payable
- Archiving of financial information in line with regulatory tax regulations
- Post monthly Payroll journals and make payment to HMRC
- Calculate and posting of Month End Journals (in conjunction with Financial Controller)
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register in Navision and post monthly depreciation journal
- Preparation of monthly intercompany recharges
We are keen to speak to candidates who have broad experience covering both P&L and balance sheet. Ideally aiming for qualified accountants but Finalist or QBE are also considered. We are not looking for anyone relocating and no visa sponsorship is available. Only candidates that match the role closely will be considered.
