Hays Senior Finance are working with a global engineering company who are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant moving from a Top 10 Practice.

This large and successful company has grown significantly in the last five years following a high-profile merger.

The UK business is now c£700m t/o across multiple entities.

Warrington is the UK head office with multiple corporate functions as well as operational management for various divisions.

They are recruiting a qualified Financial Accountant following an international merger and continued business growth.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of reporting cycles, including group audit, statutory audit, and other external reporting activities.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the business, building effective relationships both internally and externally.

The role involves contributing to audit processes at both group and entity level, supporting compliance activities (including VAT and CIS), and helping the team deliver high-quality work within agreed timelines.

This is a varied role that also includes opportunities to support technical accounting queries and contribute to project or bid-related work as needed.

Key duties include Monthly Financial Reporting Supporting group and statutory audit processes, including preparing information and responding to audit queries Assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT and CIS returns What We're Looking For Professional qualification (ACA or ACCA) from a Top 10 Practice in the UK Experience in reporting and/or accounts preparation Experience with audit processes (internal and/or external) Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel This is a great opportunity to join a genuinely flexible employer.
