UK Financial Controller

Your new role. As UK Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role within the finance leadership team, taking ownership of the financial management and reporting of a multi-entity, international business experiencing strong growth and developing a talented finance team. You will oversee monthly management reporting, statutory accounts, job costing and the annual audit process. The CFO is seeking a proactive and ambitious finance professional who can challenge the status quo, drive continuous improvement and champion the use of technology to enhance financial processes, controls and reporting capabilities. Responsibilities will also include:

• Budgeting and forecasting
• Cash flow management and forecasting
• Multi-currency reporting
• Stock accounting and inventory control
• Development of insightful financial dashboards and KPI reporting
• Process improvement and systems enhancement projects
• Supporting strategic decision-making across the wider business

What you'll need to succeed. You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with proven experience operating as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader within a manufacturing, engineering or project-based environment. The successful candidate will bring:

• Strong stock accounting and job costing experience
• Excellent technical accounting and reporting skills
• Experience of leading and developing finance teams
• A commercial mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders
• A passion for technology, systems improvement and innovation
• The ambition and drive to thrive within a high-growth business environment
