You will be joining an award-winning, Top 20 firm of Accountants and Business Advisers with a significant presence in the UK and Nordics. In the UK alone, this dynamic firm boasts a team of 6,500 professionals across more than 80 offices, making it one of the largest and most influential firms in the country. Having embarked on a dramatic growth journey in recent years, this firm is now expanding its national Technical Accounting & Valuations team. Your new role
- Delivering a variety of complex accounting support, both compliance-based and ad hoc, to a mix of AIM, Main list and private equity-backed clients.
- Dealing with technical accounting questions linked to UK GAAP, IFRS, Acquisitions, Revenue Contract Accounting, Mergers, Valuations and new Company Compliance.
- Managing a client portfolio as well as being project lead on one-off pieces of work.
- Responsible for client management from managing the relationship and answering queries through to ensuring WIP and billing management
- Input into staff management and development of the Technical Accounting team
What you'll need to succeed
- ACA qualified
- A minimum of 3 years post-qualification
- Strong IFRS and UK GAAP knowledge
- Experience of dealing with PE-backed or AIM clients
- A background in Audit (preferred)
- Confident to research different accounting areas and deal with client queries
- Confident in preparing technical papers which will be subject to audit
