Your new company
A dynamic and forward-thinking insurance group is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join its London-based finance team. This is a pivotal role focused on embedding key reporting changes, providing technical and commercial guidance, and ensuring compliance with evolving accounting standards in a complex reporting environment.
You'll be instrumental in driving continuous improvement across reporting processes, maintaining robust controls, and supporting statutory and regulatory deliverables.

Your new role
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical reviews of statutory and regulatory reporting (Annual Reports, Solvency II, Lloyd's, NAIC, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS, Lloyd's, and Solvency II
  • Produce technical accounting papers and evaluate the financial reporting impacts of significant transactions
  • Act as the primary finance contact for projects and change initiatives
  • Prepare and review Board and Audit Committee papers
  • Support financial statement disclosures and complex journal entries
  • Provide quarterly training and respond to regulator queries
  • Assist with tax compliance and finance controls documentation

What you'll need to succeed

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS, Lloyd's, and Solvency II
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and handling complex data sets
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical mindset with strong reconciliation abilities
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and solve problems independently
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance frameworks
