About Public Sector Partnership Services Public Sector Partnership Services are a high performing Local Authority Trading Company (LatCo), owned by East Lindsey District Council, South Holland District Council and Boston Borough Council, with ambitions to grow and provide high quality services to other Councils.
About the role As the Strategic Finance Manager, you will act as a Business Partner to key stakeholders at the Council. They will rely on you to deliver accurate budget monitoring data including maintaining accuracy of ledger, production of monthly financial reports for managers, directors, S151 officer and portfolio holders. Supported by a team of Business Partners your advice will support key decisions made by key decision makers as they will rely on your financial reporting,
Working with your Finance colleagues, you will ensure financial controls and procedures are in place for preparing the client council's annual statement of accounts and accurate financial reports.
To summarise, your role provides cost accounting support across the services of the Council to allow them to have a better understanding of their financial position, allow them to make the right strategic decisions to improve the financial performance. By collaborating with key stakeholders, you will both advise and guide them based on the analysis and review of their performance vs their budgets.
What we are looking for This is an excellent opportunity for a CIPFA, CIMA or ACCA qualified accountant who is looking to make a step up from a role that is responsible for the delivery of financial information to heads of service. This role will see you elevate your career in finance as you will develop your people leadership skills through the line management of the finance team of 5.
If you are currently in a Finance Business Partner, Finance Analyst or Finance Manager role that allows you to influence budget holders within a local authority, but your role offers no further development in your role, this is a fantastic opportunity to make the next step toward a “Head of” role.
