\n The Company Our client is a well-established engineering business based in Stockport, seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to join a growing organisation and play a key role in supporting both the purchase ledger function and wider finance operations. \n The Role Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the accounts payable process while supporting the finance team with a variety of general accounting duties.

The successful candidate will be a proactive team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. \n Key Responsibilities \n \n

• Managing the end-to-end accounts payable process \n
• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently \n
• Matching, batching and coding invoices \n
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries \n
• Preparing and processing supplier payment runs \n
• Maintaining accurate supplier records and account details \n
• Liaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies \n
• Assisting with month-end processes and reporting requirements \n
• Supporting bank reconciliations and account reconciliations \n
• Assisting with accruals, prepayments and general ledger postings \n
• Providing wider support to the finance team across transactional accounting activities \n
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and financial controls \n \n About You \n \n
• Previous experience within an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role \n
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and controls \n
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems \n
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills \n
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business \n
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively \n
• Experience within engineering, manufacturing or a similar environment would be advantageous \n \n What's on Offer \n \n
