Job Description Accounts Assistant (Temporary to Permanent)Location: Salary: £30,000 per annum + Bonus Scheme Start Date: Immediate Start Available The Opportunity: Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Stockport, is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its finance team on a temporary to permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive finance professional looking to secure a long-term position within a successful SME. Reporting into the finance function, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy across transactional finance processes while contributing to month-end activities and ongoing process improvements. The successful candidate will be available to start immediately and will thrive within a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Sales Ledger Issuing credit notes Processing online payment transactions Supporting credit control activities where required Purchase Ledger Processing and coding supplier invoices Assisting with weekly and monthly payment runs Banking and Reconciliations Supporting daily banking activities Completing bank reconciliations Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records Expenses and Credit Cards Processing and reconciling company credit card transactions Completing ledger and balance sheet reconciliations Supporting financial controls and reporting processes Providing finance support across multiple divisions of the business Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives and finance projects Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
