A leading Accountancy Group is looking for a Senior Personal Tax Manager to work across Wales and the South West of England. This role is working for a top 20 firm that has grown significantly over the last number of years. They pride themselves on offering a personal, local service but having hub capabilities to assist customers on the difficult details within tax legislation. You will be joining a state-of-the-art office facility that has a créche and local gym available in the business park.
They are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Tax Compliance Manager with strong experience in UK personal and corporate taxation. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing and ensuring compliance across all tax matters for the organisation and its key stakeholders. You will work closely with internal teams and external advisors to ensure accurate, timely filings and proactive tax risk management.
Your new role
- Oversee and manage all aspects of corporate and personal tax compliance, including the preparation, review, and submission of tax returns (CT600s, SA100s, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant HMRC regulations and UK tax laws.
- Act as the primary contact for HMRC enquiries, audits, and correspondence.
- Work with external advisors and internal finance teams to ensure accurate tax computations and disclosures.
- Monitor tax legislation and provide advice on the impact of regulatory changes.
- Provide tax support for annual accounts, audits, and statutory filings.
- Manage and improve internal tax control processes and systems.
- Support tax planning initiatives to ensure efficient tax structuring and optimisation for both corporate and personal matters.
- Prepare and manage the tax compliance calendar to meet all filing deadlines.
- Train and support junior staff or stakeholders on tax compliance matters.
- Provide Tax compliance services where appropriate to a large selection of clients.
- Manage a portfolio of clients, including interaction with clients and colleagues to ensure all deadlines (client & statutory) are met.
- Develop relationships with clients and people within the firm.
- Identify risks in relation to the Firm's quality control procedures and raise them to the appropriate person.
- Support Partners and manage a team.
- Compliance for some large groups; writing client reports.
- Lead complex projects.
- Revision of technical and financial assessments prepared by other members of the team.
