Your new role As Plant Controller, you will take full ownership of the divisional finance function, acting as a key member of the senior leadership team and a strategic partner to both divisional and group leadership. This is a senior, autonomous role with responsibility for shaping financial strategy, driving performance and supporting operational and commercial decision-making. You will lead all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, statutory reporting and commercial analysis, while ensuring alignment with group reporting, controls and governance requirements. Working closely with operations, sales and supply chain, you will provide insight to support margin optimisation, capital investment decisions and long‑term growth. The role also involves regular interaction with global stakeholders, major customers and suppliers.

What you'll need to succeed You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with proven experience operating at Finance Director or senior finance leadership level within large‑scale (£100m revenue) manufacturing or automotive environments. You will bring strong commercial acumen, the credibility to influence at board and group level, and a track record of leading finance in complex, operationally driven businesses. Experience managing cash flow, forecasting, capex and performance in capital‑intensive environments is essential, alongside a hands‑on, pragmatic leadership style suited to a divisional setting within a global group.
