Your new company

This financial services organisation has a need for an experienced Payroll Manager to join them on a part-time basis. Ideally 3 days per week, with hybrid working available.
The successful candidate will help support the growing client base providing outsourced support.

Your new role

In this role the Payroll Manager will be responsible for the following: * Processing payroll in line with payroll schedule, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the payroll production * Maintaining knowledge of current and new legislation impacting payroll and ensuring this knowledge is shared with the Head of People * Managing payroll enquiries and amendments * Managing and keeping pension schemes up to date and accurate * Liaising with HMRC, pension providers and other third parties * Ongoing identification and improvements of payroll systems and processes * Periodical KPI reporting and accountability * CIS returns processing * Administration of company benefits and bonus schemes * Making sure that P11D returns are completed and up to date * Other ad-hoc tasks as required including support to Head of People and the wider Financial team * Liaising and working directly with a range of external clients.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will: * Have experience in a similar role (requirement) * Have excellent attention to detail, possess good initiative and be able to work independently. * Be a confident communicator. * Have experience using Xero and Sage 50 payroll software (preferable). * Experience and confidence in using the Microsoft 365 package, especially with Excel. * CIPP qualifications or equivalent desirable but not essential. * Up to date general payroll knowledge. * Excellent planning skills together with strong prioritisation skills. * Control and compliance minded, and will to ensure the business adheres to all payroll related policies and processes.
