Hays are working exclusively with a growing, customer-focused organisation based in Manchester City Centre to recruit a Part-Time Credit Controller. Your new role
As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing and reducing aged debt, maintaining positive relationships with customers, and ensuring timely payment of outstanding invoices. This role is ideal for someone who takes a personable, empathetic approach to credit control and understands the importance of maintaining strong customer relationships while effectively managing cash flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively manage and reduce aged B2B debt across a portfolio of customers
- Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients
- Work collaboratively with customers to resolve queries and payment issues in a friendly and approachable manner
- Escalate complex accounts where necessary while maintaining a customer-first approach
- Maintain accurate records of communications and account activity
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a credit control role is essential
- A customer-centric approach to debt recovery
- Ability to build relationships is key and understands the client's needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail
- Ability to build rapport and handle sensitive conversations with professionalism
- Confident working both independently
