Job Description Accounts Payable Assistant Contract: Interim (4-6 Months) Start Date: Immediate Start AvailableSector: Manufacturing An established manufacturing business based in East Manchester is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join its finance team on an interim basis for an initial 4-6 month period. This is an excellent opportunity to support a busy finance function, ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger process and maintaining strong supplier relationships. The successful candidate will be an organised and detail-oriented finance professional with previous accounts payable experience and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment. Matching, batching and coding invoices Preparing and processing weekly and monthly payment runs Managing supplier queries via email and telephone Maintaining accurate purchase ledger records Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties as required Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and procedures Building and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders Previous experience within an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger position Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems Experience working within a manufacturing or fast-paced commercial environment would be advantageous Available to start immediately or at short notice Immediate start opportunity Competitive salary of up to £30,000 Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
