An established and growing professional services firm is seeking a Tax Manager to join its expanding tax team in Worcestershire. The team works with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses across a range of sectors and offers genuine opportunities for progression.
As a Tax Manager, you will work across both advisory and compliance matters, supporting a varied client portfolio while developing trusted client relationships. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of tax clients, ensuring work is delivered accurately and to HMRC deadlines.
- Supporting and delivering a range of tax advisory projects, including restructuring, share schemes, R&D-related matters and tax planning assignments.
- Identifying tax risks and opportunities and providing practical recommendations to clients.
- Collaborating with wider service teams to ensure seamless delivery of client work.
- Keeping up to date with changes in UK tax legislation and communicating relevant impacts.
- Reviewing work, providing technical guidance and supporting the development of junior team members.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- CTA, ACA, ACCA or an equivalent professional qualification.
- A strong UK tax background gained within professional practice.
- Experience managing client portfolios and reviewing tax work.
- Strong technical knowledge of corporation tax and/or personal tax.
- Experience working with owner-managed businesses.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Previous exposure to advisory projects and experience mentoring or managing junior staff.
