Syndicate Financial Controller in London

Your new company Hays is partnering with an established insurance business to recruit a Syndicate Financial Controller into its London finance team. This is a broad financial control role with responsibility for ensuring accurate, timely and well-controlled financial reporting across the business. Your new role Key responsibilities will include: Managing the financial close and delivery of accurate financial results. Owning balance sheet control, reconciliations and financial integrity. Overseeing treasury, cash flow and core finance operations. Supporting statutory and regulatory reporting. Maintaining and improving the financial control and risk framework. Coordinating finance requirements for internal and external audit. Working closely with accounting, reporting and wider business teams. Supporting finance transformation and process improvement initiatives. What you'll need to succeed You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience gained within the Lloyd's market. You will ideally have: Strong financial control and month-end close experience. Knowledge of insurance or syndicate accounting. Strong balance sheet and reconciliation experience. Exposure to regulatory and statutory reporting. Experience working with auditors and senior stakeholders. A proactive approach to improving processes and controls.
